Dr. Joshua Fender B.Sc. (Honors), DVM
Before Dr. Fender moved to Tucson, AZ to operate Tucson’s most well loved animal hospital, he was born and raised near Winnipeg, Canada.
After completing a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Microbiology/Zoology, Dr. Fender moved to Saskatoon to attend Veterinary College. Once graduated from Veterinary College in 2005, Dr. Fender worked in private practice before deciding to refine and deepen his knowledge of small animal medicine and surgery. He went on to complete a 1 year post graduate internship in medicine/surgery at a large referral center in Toronto and then moved to Las Vegas to complete a 1 year internship in surgery at a surgical referral center.
Dr. Fender also presented at the 2008 Veterinary Orthopedic Society meeting in Big Sky, Montana discussing different aspects of the TPLO procedure. (Reference: Fender JD, Horstman CL, Mason DR. Dr. Fender is licensed and an accredited veterinarian by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) allowing him to issue international and/or interstate health certificates.
Dr. Fender and his wife Cari moved to Tucson, Arizona in the spring of 2012 with their many pets. They have since added two beautiful children, Tatum and Willow to the family!
