Carmen Martinez

Carmen began her career in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant in 2002 and has since gained more than two decades of experience, primarily in general practice, with additional experience in exotics and shelter medicine. Throughout her career, she has served in lead technician and management roles, later expanding her leadership experience while working in management as an Animal Control Officer.

While her love for animals initially drew her to veterinary medicine, Carmen especially values the relationships she builds with pet owners and enjoys educating clients about preventative care and helping them feel informed and confident in their care of their pets. 

Carmen holds a Veterinary Assistant Certificate, An Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and an Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology. In addition to veterinary medicine, she has worked as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

When she's not working, Carmen enjoys spending time at home with her boys and her very full house of pets- five dogs, four cats, a leopard tortoise and several birds. She also loves spending time with her nephews whenever she gets the chance.
